Dr. Maryam Sickinger is a board-certified dermatologist and CEO of Advanced Institute of Dermatology, with offices in San Clemente and Palm Desert, California. She served as President of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology (AOCD) from 2026–2027 and is dedicated to providing personalized, compassionate care in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Known for her warm and approachable style, Dr. Sickinger strives to help every patient feel comfortable, confident, and truly cared for.
Dr. Sickinger earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Florida, followed by a Master of Biomedical Sciences from Barry University and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her internship at the University of Southern California and her dermatology residency through Western University/Pacific Hospital in Long Beach.
Outside of the office, Dr. Sickinger enjoys spending time with her three children and staying active with outdoor adventures and fitness. She has completed two marathons and climbed Mt. Whitney, reflecting the same dedication and perseverance she brings to caring for her patients.
Dr. Sickinger has also participated in medical mission work in Guatemala and Kenya, experiences that deepened her passion for helping others and serving communities in need around the world.
